Hello, I am Olivia
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent. An expat living in London, United Kingdom.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of my life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to United Kingdom wasn't part of the long-term plan. Like many expatriate relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, higher expectations. Everyday chores felt more burdensome than anticipated.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But slowly, routines formed. We discovered places that worked for us, met other families, and started building something that felt stable.
Why I Built Softly Nature Park
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to close that gap — practical guidance grounded in real life in United Kingdom.
